Reproduction of a 1915 Wallpaper Pattern Installed in a Portland Dining Room

Our clients have a lovely Arts & Crafts style home in Portland’s Laurelhurst neighborhood, built in 1912.  They wanted to replace the wallpaper in their dining room with an era-authentic pattern.  We reviewed many options with them, going through both our large portfolio of papers as well as our numerous wallpaper sample books from the 1900s.

They ended up choosing this pattern from a 1915 sample book and we scanned and digitally modified the file to make the scale work as well as doing some color adjustment to better compliment room appointments.

The result is a subtle paper that integrates into the room in the quiet way that the clients intended.
